The Honourable Santia Bradshaw has built an impressive political career, marked by her unwavering commitment to public service and leadership. Having served in various ministerial roles, she has made significant contributions to the fields of education, transportation, and community development in Barbados.

Appointed to the Barbados Senate on November 9, 2010, Deputy Minister Bradshaw transitioned to the House of Assembly as the elected Member of Parliament for the St. Michael South-East constituency in 2013. She has also served as the Leader of Government Business.

In her first ministerial role as Minister of Education, Technological and Vocational Training, which she assumed in 2018, Santia Bradshaw implemented key policies to enhance the educational system, including curriculum reforms and infrastructure upgrades. As Minister of Transport, Works, and Water Resources, she has spearheaded critical projects such as the Scotland District Road Rehabilitation Project, as well as the IDB and CAF funded road rehabilitation projects across the island. Her previous tenure as Minister of Water Resources saw significant advancements in infrastructure projects to improve water supply across the rural parishes and upgrades to the island’s sewage network.

In addition to her political achievements, Deputy Prime Minister Bradshaw is a trained barrister and an accomplished attorney-at-law with over 20 years’ experience. She is also well known for her entrepreneurial endeavors with Pyramid Entertainment Inc., demonstrating her diverse skill set and commitment to excellence in various fields.

An impassioned activist, her involvement in community activities, such as sports management and educational workshops, highlights her passion for empowering individuals and fostering growth within communities. The establishment of a privately owned community center further underscores her dedication to providing essential services and opportunities for personal development.
